Photography is a passion. It challenges me to see in detail the world around me, to see visual relationships, connect meaning and to reflect. The result, a challenge to people to see the world in new ways and shaping their reflections as an exchange.
I came up through the broadcast industry as an on-air and off-air designer and spent about 5 years with Image Club Graphics, Adobe, EyeWire and Getty Images as an art director. That period helped me gain an appreciation for photography. Having a passion for image making is essential to perfecting design, narrative, concept and point of view and besides, it’s a lot of fun.
My hiking journal, kanff.ca is a continual work in progress and is a photographic exploration of treks in the Canadian Rockies. I’m working on a similar project on treks in Southeastern Utah.
