Anemone Occidentalis Seed Head

The mountain anemone (anemone occidentalis) grows in high meadows in the Canadian and American Rocky Mountains. In August the flowering plant goes to seed in the form of a pom pom. As wind, rain and sun force its eventual decay the seed head takes on wild forms until all of the feathers drop. These are great to photograph as the are like snowflakes, each individual and unique.

Each print is signed and numbered. In a white space below the photo I also include my logo and the title of the photograph low enough for a matt to cover it up.
